About ISORC
ISORC is a small, connection-focused, single-track conference focused on real-time and embedded computing. Since its founding by Prof. Kane Kim, ISORC has built its reputation on a few core attributes that we are committed to preserving as the conference series grows:
- Single-track format — every attendee sees every presentation, fostering cross-disciplinary conversation.
- Close-knit, connection-focused community — genuine networking, hallway conversations, and relationships that last well beyond the conference week, with room for newcomers to become part of the community, not just spectators. Our growth target is 50–80 attendees, not 200.
- Cultural and location awareness — every edition makes time for an excursion or cultural experience tied to its host location.
- Real-time and embedded computing core — AI/ML, IoT, automotive, aerospace, and medical applications are welcome when grounded in real-time constraints, timing analysis, or embedded system concerns.
- Emerging researcher pathway — short papers and the doctoral symposium track exist to nurture the next generation of researchers.
- Geographic rotation — the Americas, Europe, and Asia, ensuring ISORC reaches and grows research communities worldwide.
Topic Areas
As part of our revitalization effort, ISORC's topic areas have been refreshed to reflect modern real-time and embedded computing research — while keeping real-time constraints, timing analysis, and embedded system concerns at the center of every contribution.

ISORC 2027 — IIT Ropar, India
ISORC heads to India for the first time as part of our Asia rotation, hosted at IIT Ropar in March 2027 (exact dates to be announced). This marks a significant milestone for the conference as we continue to grow our community in traditionally under-represented regions.
Details, the call for papers, and important dates will be posted here as they are finalized.
